Using digg and Netscape to get traffic
Pronet Advertising has an article about how to use digg and Netscape to get traffic. You need roughly 51 votes within 24 hours to get to the homepage. Netscape on the other hand is time-based, if you get 10 votes within 10 minutes you will probably get your story on the homepage.
Some tips include writing catchy titles and descriptions, provide up-to-date information and focus on stories that benefit readers.
Google AJAX Search API for Blogs
Google has just launched a new version of the Google AJAX Search API and widgets that make it easy for site or blog owners to integrate the search tools into the web.
According to the blog, webmasters and developers can do two things easier:
- Add a search box to your site that displays Google Web, Video, News, Maps, and Blog Search results without taking users to a separate page.
- Build powerful web apps on top of Google search.
Some of the Google AJAX Search API samples could be found on the official Google Code site.
Digg black market
It seems like another form of spamming has just been invented. Digg could be gamed. It is a fact. But if a service exist to help whoever pay $20 plus $1 per desired digg, then that is news.
As blogged by Read/Write Web, this site should get squashed as soon as possible.

that was a amazing fact about the number os users that you need to get on the homepage. It goes again to say that you really need to network and have a few people working with you to promote your site.
