Story about Two Blog Advertising Moguls

Zachary Rodgers writes an interesting article for ClickZ on A Tale of Two Blog Advertising Moguls. The two blog advertising (or blog-vertising) he refers to are John Battelle of Federated Media Publishing and Philip Kaplan of AdBrite.

Battelle’s Federated Media Publishing is sophisticated, services-driven and built for the A-list (to use a dirty word). We’re talking BoingBoing and Om Malik. Very CPM.

Kaplan’s AdBrite, meanwhile, is democratic and technology-driven. It’s like a transparent AdSense, where buyers pitch ads to sites and sellers can reject whichever they don’t like. Very direct response.

It’s exciting to see articles on blog advertising appear everyday and it always slides into my reading list when it comes to inspirative article like this one.
