Squidoo Opens for Public Beta

Squidoo is finally open to the public in an open beta program. Back in November, I participated in the closed beta program after reading an announcement about it by Seth Godin. He even wrote a PDF e-book about it.
The concept behind Squidoo is simple. People are searching the Web using Google to get a clue about something. Squidoo has a concept properly named lenses where an expert can write a great summary, links to resources, add bulletted list and more about any topic.
A niche blog is usually not good enough for first time searcher. Why? Because if a first time searcher arrive at your blog seeing your rant of the day, for example, they might think entirely differently about that topic.
Squidoo also takes advantage for Google AdSense contextual advertising program and Amazon products for monetization. Publishers should also get benefits by the inbound links. Read Seth’s e-books, Everyone is an Expert, for thorough introduction to the concept.
