SixApart Updates Customers about Status, but No Archives

SixApart, the company behind TypePad blog hosting and service and the popular Movable Type blog software made clear the latest status of their TypePad service on a public blog, as noticed by Debbie Weil.
The problem is, the public blog is not actually a blog as it doesn’t archive the posts. Seems like they wanted to let the history be nothing more than history, but forgot that bloggers have blogged about the disruptions of service every where.
Won’t it be more valuable to have a list of server issues remained on the blog, to show how stable their servers are?
Just a bit of my Tuesday rant. Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against SixApart in particular. Indeed, I love what they’ve done mostly, especially with the Movable Type weblog software.
