Six Apart Intros Vox: A Personal Blogging Service

Six Apart, the company behind TypePad, LiveJournal and Movable Type blogging products, has recently introduced Vox, a personal blog service. Vox intends to fill in the gap between professional and personal blogging, giving the users more flexibility and ease of use in posting and managing their blogs.
Both TypePad and LiveJournal are two popular blog services. Movable Type lets you host your blog on your own domain. TypePad has been known as one of the choices for professionals, businesses, and anyone who needs to take complete control of their public-facing communications.
LiveJournal is used by independent bloggers, but it requires powerful customization. It’s not for everyone. Then Vox joined the product line.
Vox blog service is more of a social network application for a group of closely related bloggers. You can invite friends and family members into your circle, of which you can control what to share and who to share your blog posts with.
Six Apart tries to address the concern many people are facing. People still don’t blog because they don’t want to post private stories and photos and have them viewed by outsiders.
Vox is going to launch later this year, of which it should play well with other web services such as Amazon, YouTube and others. If you can’t wait to play with it visit Six Apart’s site, enter your e-mail address, and you will receive an invitation as soon as they are ready.
