Share Meanings, Build Lenses with Squidoo

Another great stuff. Seth Godin has just made a 32-page PDF of his newest e-book available for download. The e-book, Everyone is an Expert, explains the background and philosophy on a new service he was (and is) building with a team, Squidoo.
The e-book starts with an example of a very common scenario happening on us daily. If something spikes an interest within us, basically we try to look for the meaning of it from the Web, may be using a search engine like Google.
I believe that when you go online, you don’t search. You don’t even find. Instead, you are usually on a quest to make sense. That’s the goal of most visits to Google or Yahoo! or blogs or the Wikipedia. How doy ou make sense of the noise that’s coming at you from all directions? You won’t take action — you won’t buy something, book something, hire someone, or take a position on a political issue — until you’ve made sense of your options.
Squidoo is created for people to share meanings. A page on a Squidoo is a lens, where people will quickly make sense of the focused matter on that single lens. It helps people understand what a topic is about, the thing that a single blog post can’t do well. A blog post focuses too narrowly on a long-winded conversation, while a lense is more of a summary of a topic.
Squidoo is a viral marketing tool. It includes many powerful and flexible modules to build lenses. An invitation requested, hopefully they can find me an opening.
