Pajamas Media and Open Source Media Naming Issue

Recently if you’ve been following the blogosphere, bloggers are talking about Open Source Media, or Pajamas Media. I have refrained to blog about this issue because of the busy schedule. I personally think this has little to do with business blogging. To sum up, the buzz were basically just about branding and probably ethical business issue.
They used to be Pajamas Media, and then they changed to Open Source Media and landed $3.5m in funding. Even bloggers under contact don’t know exactly what they do. BuzzMachine has an excellent post about this.
The problem is, Open Source Media is a trademark name. It is a production company for the public radio show by Christopher Lydon.
Also, there is an interesting backstory about Pajamas Media by Kenton E. Kelly, who was working closely with Roger L. Simon, co-founder of Pajamas Media back in 2004.
That’s all what I know about it.
I refuse to comment about this, partly due the lack of insider knowledge from my side.
